Do you love monster stories and young adult literature? Want to discuss them with peers and a professional monster scholar? If you are between the ages of 14 to 18, then this club is for you!
This club will meet in a private Discord server once per month to discuss a novel, novella, or graphic novel. I will pose open-ended questions and facilitate discussions about the themes, characters, metaphors, and sociopolitical implications of the monster lit. Then you and your peers will have the space to make meaning from these stories together. You will also have ongoing access to the Discord server to chat with fellow members.
After that, we will poll the group for future titles.
This book club will meet once monthly and there will be two different session days to choose from:
There will not be refunds for missed meetings. However, if a participant chooses to withdraw from the program, please notify me via email, and subsequent payments will be discontinued.
